CEO / Founder
Jacob Shen founded Rhem Labs to bring dependable, privacy-forward health support into the home. He sets the company's vision and strategy, aligning product, engineering, clinical, and commercial efforts around a single goal: a home-care robot families can trust. His leadership keeps the team focused on shipping a real product that earns its place in people's homes.
Head of Hardware
Nears Shao leads Rhem's physical hardware engineering with more than 10 years of international technical research experience. He holds master's degrees from Tongji University and Politecnico di Torino, with prior research in superconductivity-related technologies and wireless communication at an Italian national research institute, plus experience as an embedded systems engineer. He owns the robot's mechanical design, sensors, and onboard electronics — the foundation that makes Rhem feel dependable as a physical device in the home.
Head of Supply Chain
Binnie Chen oversees sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics for Rhem Labs. With more than 12 years of experience managing hardware supply chains for consumer electronics and medical devices, she has led supplier negotiations, quality-control programs, and large-scale production ramps. Her background helps Rhem move from prototype to dependable, repeatable manufacturing while keeping costs and timelines under control.
Head of Development
Huey Schink leads cross-functional development at Rhem Labs, bringing more than 15 years of experience taking complex hardware-software products from concept to launch. He owns program management and systems integration — coordinating the hardware, software, and clinical workstreams into one coherent release, managing timelines, and resolving the trade-offs where disciplines meet. His role ensures the pieces other teams build come together into a finished, reliable robot.
