Rhem is a health-support and wellness companion. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat conditions, and it is not a substitute for professional medical care or emergency services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating a Rhem account, placing a pre-order, or using the robot, app, or website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account or place an order. Adults may set up profiles for dependents in their household and are responsible for those profiles.
3. Pre-orders & deposits
Rhem is currently available for pre-order. A pre-order reserves a unit and is not a final purchase. Key points:
- The $1 reservation deposit is fully refundable and does not obligate you to complete a purchase.
- Pre-order pricing, configurations, and estimated ship dates are subject to change as the product is finalized. We will notify you of material changes before charging the balance of any order.
- You authorize the balance to be collected only when you confirm your order at the pricing disclosed at that time.
- Full refund and cancellation details are on our Refund & Returns page.
4. Rhem is not medical advice
Rhem helps you track, organize, and understand wellness information in plain language, and helps you prepare for conversations with a professional. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or direct medical decisions. Readings and explanations are for general wellness support only. Always consult a qualified professional for medical concerns, and never disregard professional advice because of something Rhem said or displayed.
5. SOS & safety features — and their limits
Rhem's SOS feature can notify the emergency contacts you configure, triggered by a safety word or by radar-based detection of events such as a fall or breathing irregularity. Please understand its limits:
- SOS is a family-facing alert feature, not a guaranteed emergency-response service, and it does not dispatch emergency responders on your behalf.
- It depends on power, network connectivity, correct setup, and your contacts being reachable.
- It is not a replacement for calling your local emergency number.
6. Telehealth (planned feature)
Connecting to licensed telehealth providers is a planned post-launch integration and is not guaranteed to be available at the time your device ships. If and when it launches, telehealth services are provided by independent licensed providers, subject to their own terms, availability in your region, and applicable regulation. Rhem facilitates the connection; it is not the provider of care.
7. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@rhem.ai if you suspect unauthorized use.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — for example, by attempting to reverse-engineer or tamper with the device's safety functions, using it to harm or surveil others without consent, adding family profiles without permission, or interfering with our systems.
9. Intellectual property
The Rhem name, software, expression system, designs, and content are owned by Rhem Labs or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app and device software for their intended purpose. Your own data remains yours.
10. Software updates
We deliver updates that may add, change, or remove features over time, including planned features like telehealth. Some updates are necessary for security and reliability and may install automatically.
11. Warranties & disclaimers
Your hardware warranty is described in your purchase documentation. Beyond any express warranty and to the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is," and we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Rhem Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Rhem Labs' principal operating jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory protections available to you as a consumer where you live.
14. Changes & contact
We may update these terms as the product and features evolve. The "last updated" date will reflect changes, and we'll flag material ones. Questions? Email support@rhem.ai or visit our contact page.
